Who are we?
We are a nonpartisan advocacy group seeking to end the crisis of sexual violence in Alaska. We are lobbying for policy change, holding our leaders accountable, and making sexual assault a voting issue. We hope you join us as we put an end to free passes for violence.
“Alaska is the epicenter for sexual violence in the nation. We don’t need another study. We don’t need to cite another statistic. We need to start putting faces to these crimes. These are women…these are men…these are young children.”
Nicole Borromeo, Alaska Federation of Natives
When Justin Schneider kidnapped, strangled, and sexually assaulted a young woman, he was given no jail time in what the prosecutor referred to as his “one pass.” We’re tired of seeing violent offenders walk free while victims live in fear. That’s why we’re saying No More Free Passes.
